Requirements / Strategic Objective and Tasks

    • Minimum of 5 years of travel experience in either hotels or travel agencies.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience negotiating hotel preferred rates and amenities.
    • Excellent Skills in follow-up, organization, analytical, flexibility, initiative, customer service, relationship building, decision ability, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft office products and Salesforce.
    • Mid office Quality Control knowledge is a plus.
    • Demonstrate professional behavior, be a positive team player and demonstrate leadership qualities and be dependable.
    • Operate within company standards in the areas of customer service, productivity, quality standards and operating procedures.
    • Utilize preferred vendors to maximize profit for the company.
    • The ability to solve problems and make decisions and suggest improvements to benefit the team and organization.
    • Follow company procedures, guidelines, and standards in the areas of supplier relations.
    • Stay fully informed of all industry trends, requirements and apply this knowledge in your role.
      • Travel agency process and technology trouble-shooting skills.
      • Process design and implementation experience in a travel agency setting. Including experience on Sabre (Multi-GDS a plus) and online bookings tools, including Concur and others currently in the marketplace.
      • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools and best practices.

Position Responsibilities

      • Negotiate hotel rates with various hotels collections and individual hotel properties with commissionable rates.
      • Work closely with the Account Management Team on negotiating hotel preferred properties for each corporate, IROP, Crew and Airline Solutions clients.
      • Work closely with the Operations and Group Teams on negotiating hotel preferred properties and converting existing net rates into commissionable rates, without an increase to our clients.
      • Increase segment revenue by maximizing all hotels be booked thru GDS as applicable by making sure rates are loaded in GDS.
      • Create hotel programs with various amenities, including upgrade options, early check-ins.
      • Work closely with VP, Product Sourcing to grown TSI hotel programs and Consortium partnerships.
      • Ability to work extended hours as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
      • Offer ideas and contribute in various ways to contribute to our overall success.
