Corporate Travel Consultant

Position Overview:
The Corporate Travel Consultant is responsible for managing complex domestic and international travel arrangements while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires extensive experience in corporate travel booking, strong knowledge of Alaska travel systems, and familiarity with travel logistics throughout the State of Alaska.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate travel experience, including booking international travel.
• Minimum of 5 years on SABRE and other GDS experience is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of rural air travel and ferry transportation throughout the State of Alaska.
• Experience booking Medicaid travel within the State of Alaska.
• Familiarity with Fly America Act and Open Skies Agreement requirements.
• Due to client requirements, candidate must reside in the United States.
• Mid-office quality control experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, follow up, documentation skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service, communication (written and verbal), and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a positive and professional team member.
• Flexibility with work hours to meet client needs and operational demands, including occasional after-hours support for all travelers.
• Experience handling executive travel arrangements.
• Knowledge of airline upgrade procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work assigned shifts within a 24/7 operational environment, maintaining flexibility when needed.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Operate within company standards related to customer service, productivity, quality, and operational procedures.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the travel industry and Alaska travel logistics, including proficiency with applicable CRS/GDS systems.
• Utilize preferred vendors to maximize company profitability.
• Apply sound judgment to solve problems and make fact-based decisions.
• Identify and suggest process improvements that benefit the team and organization.
• Ensure client travel policies are followed and properly documented.
• Accurately build, update, and manage Passenger Name Records (PNRs) and complete ticketing requirements.
• Maintain compliance with airline rules, regulations, and industry requirements.
• Meet departmental goals and performance objectives.
• Document lost savings opportunities for applicable reservations.
• Maintain punctuality and readiness for scheduled shifts.
• Assist management with monitoring expenses and controlling operational costs.
• Participate in required training programs to maintain and enhance professional knowledge.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
• Assist with follow-up related to client feedback, service concerns, or customer issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Keep management informed of significant matters and perform other duties as assigned.
Outside Employment Disclosure:
Employees may occasionally hold part-time positions outside the company. However, to avoid potential conflicts of interest, all outside employment must be disclosed in writing to TSI USA. Employment with another travel-related organization is considered a conflict of interest. Employment in non-travel related roles may or may not present a conflict. TSI USA will review the disclosure and provide written confirmation regarding whether the outside employment is acceptable.
